How First To One works
A step-by-step guide to the current game
1. Create and verify an account
You can browse parts of First To One without being signed in, but claiming and account features require a verified account. New verified accounts currently receive a one-time signup bonus of 50 ordinary full-range number credits. The bonus is tied to the account and is separate from the normal daily claim.
A public username is used around the service for profiles, rankings and trading. Your email is used for account access and verification and is not intended to be displayed as your public identity.
2. Use a free daily claim
When the daily claim is available, a verified player can request one random number from the remaining active-game pool. The result is not selected by the player. Once a valid allocation is completed, that number belongs to the player's in-service collection unless ownership later changes through an allowed trade.
The daily claim also contributes to progression. Consecutive daily claims can build a streak, which can add bonus XP on top of the XP earned for the real number claim.
3. Use number credits
A number credit can be spent to make one additional random allocation while claiming is open. The current signup bonus uses ordinary full-range credits, and optional paid number packs also provide the fixed quantity of credits shown at checkout.
Credits do not reserve a specific number and do not improve the probability of any particular individual number on a single allocation. Having more credits simply gives the player more separate random allocations from the available pool. No allocation guarantees Number 1 or any other target.
4. Build a collection
Every successfully claimed number becomes a card in the player's First To One collection. A lower number can improve a player's position on the Closest leaderboard, while a larger collection can improve collection-based statistics. The service also tracks streaks, XP, levels and other eligible achievements.
Because each number in the active game is unique, two players cannot simultaneously own the same active-game number. As more numbers are claimed, the remaining pool changes for everyone.
5. Compare progress
The leaderboard provides several views rather than treating one statistic as the only measure of progress. The Closest view ranks players by the lowest number in their collection. Other views include Most Numbers, Streak and FTO Score. FTO Score combines the quality of a player's best number with collection size using a diminishing-return calculation.
Public profiles let collectors show parts of their collection and activity. Signed-in users can search for other players by username or name and open their public profile.
6. Trade eligible cards
While a game is active, its cards can be traded for other cards from that same active game. Active-game cards cannot be swapped for cards from older completed games. After a game has fully ended, its claimed cards become eligible for the Lifetime Market and historical trades can cross completed games.
The normal Marketplace is number-for-number trading. First To One does not currently provide a player-to-player cash seller system or promise that cards can be converted to money.
7. What happens when Number 1 is found
Number 1 is the competitive finish line. When it is allocated, the winner and final competitive standings lock immediately. The game does not instantly disappear, however. A final 48-hour window begins so remaining game activity can finish in an orderly way.
During that window, players can continue making eligible random claims from numbers that remain unclaimed and can continue trading active-game cards. If First To One has expressly enabled Exact Number Auctions, specified unclaimed numbers may also be offered under the published auction rules. Real-money auction bidding is not assumed to be available merely because auction-related information exists on the site.
8. The game is archived and a fresh pool begins
When the final 48-hour window reaches zero and required settlement work is complete, the finished game is archived. Numbers that were never validly claimed or awarded are retired for that game. The next game then starts with a fresh pool from 1 to 8.3 billion.
Completed-game results stay part of First To One history. Later ownership changes do not alter the recorded winner or final standings of the original game.
9. Paid features are optional
You do not need a paid number pack to understand or participate in the basic game loop. Paid packs are an optional way to obtain a stated quantity of number credits. Before payment, the checkout should show what is being purchased and the applicable price.
A purchase is not an investment and does not guarantee a prize, a rare number, a future resale value or profit. For payment problems or refund questions, see the Refund Policy and Support.
